Makeup products I regret buying

I have started using makeup since I was 15. I started off with light makeup using only day cream, some eye pencil, some mascara and some lip gloss. No foundation touched my face skin until I was 18(unnecessary even then). So, since that period I have purchased a huge amount of beauty product, some because of the great name they had. However, they disappointed me. Here is a list and a review on some products I regret buying and I would not recommend to anyone.

Including all the properties that a good tinted moisturizer should have(spf protection, properties of a daily cream, good/light coverage) the YOUREBEL of Benefit seemed to be the perfect product. It does not have many shades to choose from so it was pretty easy for me to purchase it. I got it at Sephora and I could not wait to use it. It comes with a harsh metallic-ish kind of tube and is easy to use. However, the first main thing that went wrong the first time I used it was the smell; it has a horrible smell once you apply it, even though it slowly fades away with time. The second major problem was the texture; it looked and felt gross as I applied it either with my hand or with my brush. The third problem was the finish; this product is so oily that it gave you a very shiny finish, making you look like a disco ball with no glitter.

When talking about eyelashes, I have to say that I adore long eyelashes (who doesn't, right?). When I went shopping to get a new mascara and read the word Collagene on the L'Oreal corner, I thought that was it. I purchased this mascara for a high price and I used it as soon as I got home. When I opened it, the brush was  thick and nice and it seemed like it would have been of great help. I was obviously wrong; the mascara made my lashes stick together and it did not fill them in(especially if my lashes were clean). This mascara had a more noticeable effect if your eyelashes had already some product in -_-. Sometimes, it also created clumps. The only, somehow, solution was to curl your eyelashes and apply 10 layers of mascara to get a result.

As I said, I started off by using gloss in the very beginning so I thought I would purchase a nice pink color with some glitter in it and I got the Collistar Supergloss spf15. It seemed perfect because it not only gave a very nice finishing look; it also gave an instant moisture to your lips with additional protection. It was really nice, but it had two major problems: stickiness and thickness. When I first applied it in my lips, I felt like I was layering my lips with jelly. The smell was nice but the feeling was awful. The product was very thick and unpleasant. Therefore, I wanted to take it off so I used my finger: it was so sticky that I wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible. I felt so sorry that this product had these two problems because the glitter and smell were very nice. However, I would not purchase it again.

I have heard so much about AVON so I decided to get some products from it. From some of them I got amazing results and I was very pleased, so please that I would purchase them twice. From some others, on the other hand, the results were not pleasing. I was searching for a bright and nice eyeliner that could be applied with a brush so I decided to purchase AVON Supershock eyeliner. First things first, I purchased the second color and it turned out to be much darker. I thought I would give it a try so i dipped the brush in trying to get some product. It was compressed and the texture was so slippery that it was hard to get product in the brush. When I finally achieved that, I applied it in my eye lid; the finish was ugly. It looked like I had applied some very bad makeup in a very careless way in my eyes and it did not gave the nice finish look that it was supposed to give. Disappointed :(
